Next.js's server-side rendering is what makes a marketing or e-commerce site actually rank — a purely client-rendered React app ships an empty HTML shell that search engines have to execute JavaScript to see anything in. BabalCloud's site and this portfolio are both built on Next.js for exactly that reason.

It also means one deployment target rather than juggling a separate static frontend and API host — fewer moving parts for a small team to maintain after handoff.

Kathmandu is Nepal's commercial and startup hub — most of the fintech, e-commerce, and SaaS teams I've worked with (including the team behind BabalCloud) are based here or run distributed teams out of the valley. If you're based in Kathmandu, in-person kickoff calls and occasional in-office syncs are easy to arrange alongside the usual async workflow.
